Bridging Theory and Expert Judgment: Advances in Polarization Metrics and Their Empirical Correlations
This article explores recent experimental findings on polarization measures and their alignment with expert assessments. We analyze how measures from the literature adhere to Esteban and Ray’s axioms, highlighting both consistencies and deviations—along with a newly identified property by Professor Jesús. Additionally, we introduce an initial classification system ("low," "medium," "high") for interpreting polarization intensity across key measures.
